Athens - the cradle of democracy!

A visit to Athens belongs to every holiday in Greece, and especially  when  this wonderful city is infront of the door, infact less than one hour away.

Athens, just 20 km away, is very easy to reach with bus and metro or car. The bus stop is 5 minutes walk from the villa and the modern services are very reliable and cheap. Athens is not only rich in greek history, the city offers traditional markets, exclusive shops, parks, restaurants of all kinds, galleries, exhibitions, concerts etc. Athens has something for everybody all year round.

From Rafina, 5 km from the villa, the ferries sail to lots of the Greek Islands. Once again the service is efficient and reliable. Day trips to Evia, Mykonos and Andros are offered. The boats sail all year round.

Other very interesting trips can be easily made  to Cape Sounion, Marathon, Delphi, Corinth, Mycene, Nafplio, Epidauros, and Argos among others.

A tour of Peleponnes is unforgettable. All these places are open all year round so off season vacations are just as interesting as during the season.
